Error message 3602

[Kieron Gleeson]

Does anybody know what error message 3602 means. We have started getting
occurences of this message

Warning - Fatal error 3602 - occured Please note the error and time and
contact a user with System Administration (SA) authorization.

We have checked the stored procs and tables involved in this ap and the
permissions on everything are correct. The ap is doing an UPDATE.

Any help would be appreciated.

 It's an error related to Backup server.
You can find out the meaning of an error by accesing, via isql the system table sysmessages:
select * from sysmessages where error=3206
which gives:
 error       severity dlevel
         description
         langid sqlstate
--------------------
        3206       20      2
         Backup Server has returned an unexpected status to SQL Server: %d.
