I'm trying to recover an account that was saved to floppy from D3. I
no longer have access to D3 (well the one copy I have is for Aix but
we decommissioned our Aix server a year or two back).

I tried downloading D3 for NT (both 7.5 - exceeds users and 7.3 -
password on zip) with no joy. I thought it would run 1 user without
activation so maybe I'm having other trouble.

I also tried UD and QM but neither want to see the floppy as a tape
device.

Any brilliant ideas?

Thanks and Happy New Year!

If you did the account save on D3NT and the account is FSI then you
will need a D3NT system to read the floppy. Competing platforms don't
support the FSI format. D3 *nix platforms can't read the format
either.

TigerLogic is the only DBMS company I know, MV or otherwise that
doesn't provide a free/limited developer license. However, any TL VAR
can get you an free evaluation license that lasts for something like
30 days.
