serial number limit (Paradox) with BDE?

We use Paradox for Windows 7, Borland Paradox Engine 3.01 with Borland
C++ 4.5 and C++Builder 5 with BDE.
It works over years without any problems.
Since a week the BDE produces the following error: serial number limit
(Paradox)

I deleted PDOXUSRS.NET and all LCK-Files but the error is still there.
What could i do to solve that?

my best guess is that you didn't get rid of all the files.. download
remlok32 from my web site, and run it on all drives.. then see if the error
comes back.. none of the things you are using have a serial number
attached..

Paradox the Application, version 7?
Or Paradox Tables, *Table Level* 7?

*After* you get this fixed, you really need to upgrade the BDE to at least
version 4.5x and preferably the latest 5.x because version 3 has some
serious bugs in it that can lead to data corruption/loss.
