Sound function in OPal 7.0

I tried the sound function in Paradox 7.0 for Win 95 with no success.
e.g.: sound(130,1000) should play 130 Hz for 1 second.
All I get is a default Win95 .WAV file (I don't know which default event it is
assigned to, window open/close... who knows). I have Microsoft Plus installed
with the theme of "Dangerous Creatures". It's one of those .WAV files.
Anyone has a clue ??
