Hi there,

Can anyone tell me if Paradox supports the unicode character system
(in order to cope with languages such as Russian, Greek, etc.).
Paradox should probably use a truetype file (*.ttf).

And if it can work, how then ?
I haven't got a clue !

thanks.

If you run PDOXWIN on WINDOWS NT the answer is YES.
WINDOWS does not distort. Of course you have to write on application,
messages, text on a WINDOWS NT machine to access -utilize- to such
caracters.

If you run it on WINDOWS 95 sometimes, and it depends on the user's
machine not on PDOXWIN. If the machine has installed a complet support
for SLAVIC, CYRILIC, GREEK... languages on the INTERNET INTERNET no
problem.

If you run it on WINDOWS 98 up to now no problem (but the fonts, etc.
where added from a WINDOWS NT machine thru the net). After talking with
the Lithuanians I will post the answer for you, they just received WIN
98 and they did not have a change to install it.

I do not know about PDOXWIN 7, but what it seems obvious is that the
issue is the environment, not PDOXWIN 8. The Lithuanians answered that
the RUSSIAN text is correct, but they could not descifer a Basic Greek,
they will send us a SHOT of the screen, since they not know if what they
see is GREEK or garbage.

By UNICODE we mean the extended caracters that you see in a CHARMAP on
Windows NT, and when installing Windows 95 foreign(s) version becomes
the default language.

The TT Arial has SUB:
Latin1
LatinExtendedA
LatinExtendedB
IPA extensiones (In spanish)
Basic Greek
Arabic... up to 12.

NT and Win98 are unicode ready but some applications aren't. Office 98
is an example of unicode ready application.
