Hi,
I just installed Forms6i rel2 (6.0.8.11.3) on XP, but I can't connect to the
database (9.2.0.1.0 on W2000): Access Violation in ORA805.DLL.
Since the install, Toad can't connect either (same error).
My sql*plus and Designer (9i), installed in another Oracle Home, still work.
Changing the primary Oracle Home to either one doesn't help.

On a W2000 client everything runs just fine.
Does anbody have an idea how to solve this problem, other than using W2000?

Btw: upgrading to Forms 9i is no solution, because I need to create
client/server forms.

This is just a guess.
It appears that it might be the case that you are using
an older V8.0 client. It might be a worthwhile exercise
to try the 9i client. Then again, it might be a wasted
effort.

HTH & YMMV

It's the dll, that belongs to the forms version...

forms 6i is (still) an 8.0 product, and was never certified
on XP.
As you are running against these problems, the only thing
is to return to W2K. Have you tried to run in w2k compatibility
mode in XP? Haven't a clue what it supposed to do, but it is
listed as option...

I am facing same issue.
Do you have a possible fix you can recommend?
Thanks,
