ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

I've started a long running job (stored procedure) in a Oracle Forms 5.0
Application.
It takes about 2 to insert 400,000 rows into an Oracle8 Database (Rel.
8.0.3) on an
HP-UX Server.
The form is waiting for the results of the background job.
The job inserts a lot of rows and then got the following Oracle error
messages:

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17280], [2], [3431552592], [],
[], [], [], []
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

Is it possible, that SQL*Net (or Net8) terminates an Oracle session with no
interaction
with the database for more than 2 or 4 hours?

You are getting a ora-600 error which is a generic error, normally resulting
from a software bug. get in touch with the oracle support with the ora-600
error. They will require the entire message that is the numbers you are getting
in the ora 600 error. This error would have created a trace file in your dump
destiation check that file also.

It is possible, but not likely that you were timed out, as the processing is
still apparently going on.

To find out what is actually going on, ie. causing the error you are
getting, you may be better off reporting it to Oracle Support. As far as I'm
aware, they done make public to information necessary to decipher most
Oracle internal error codes.
