There is a wonderful new tool that I have discovered over the weekend. I
wholeheartedly recommend you to try it:

Unfortunately, this thing doesn't run under wine. I installed the instant
client (yeah, I know that the full client is required, but couldn't
install it under Wine) but no luck:

This is CentOS 6.2, I will try later on Wine on FC15, which has slightly
newer Wine. Normally, well aged wine is better than the fresh one, but
this case may be an exception.

Why bother, just wait for a Linux native version.

I contacted the author, he says that there will be no native Linux
version.

Great. Then I don't have to try it.

Been using it for well over a year now. It is excellent.
And what's more: unlike Oracle's own OEM, it actually works with and
can plot trends with Statspack and/or AWR/ASH. I use it for capacity
planning with historical Statspack data archived in multiple schemas
for each of our dbs, over a period of years. It is indeed a great
tool, the best I've seen in a looooong time.

I agree. It's better even than my own tool, although I am working on
fixing some of the issues.

Hi Mladen,

thanks very much for sharing this link! This seems to be an extremly useful
and powerful tool. I think I will try it out in my company, and I guess it
will help us a lot.

If it turns out that will be as useful as it looks to me after playing around
with it for one hour, I will have to also give a very warm Thank You to the
author...

Thanks again
Peter
