We have an Oracle 8.0.5 database (on Sun Solaris) which has a bunch of
datafiles which we need to rename and put into different folders. We're
using server manager to rename the datafiles, which, until now, was going
great.

The problem now is for some reason, the former DBA created a datafile with a
chr$(10) (I believe that's a line-feed) embedded in the datafile name. We're
guessing that while creating the datafile, he accidentally hit the return
key while typing in the name of the datafile.
Unfortunately, server manager doesn't recognize this special character and
nothing that we've tried has solved the problem. So, if anyone has an
answer, please e-mail/post.

My e-mail is md...@customerlinx.com

Thanks, in advance
Mark
