Has anyone succesfuly used the Oracle 8 drivers with applets?

I am interest in applets and specialy in JApplets(Swing 1.0.3).

I tried it with Java plug-in but I am getting "driver could not be
loaded" exception.
This does not happen, when I use the jdbc-odbc bridge.

Any ideas?

I am using the OCI driver version 8.0.4.5 on an Windows NT 4
Workstation(SP3), Oracle 8.0.4 server, the latest Java plugin(JRE 1.1.6
& Swing 1.0.3).

You have to install SQL*Net on the clientside, if you want to use
the OCI driver. If you can't, use the thin driver.
