Description: TEKsystems is looking for a Senior VB Developer with Oracle PL/SQL experience, to work at the site of our client in Philadelphia, PA. This is a long-term W-2 hourly contract position. This developer will provide application development and support to the Government Contracts and Pricing Programs business area. This includes the redesign of the Government Pricing Calculator, a tool used for monthly reporting for best price and average manufacturers price for Medicaid. Because of the Medicaid Deficit Reduction Act, they need to change the way reporting is handled and delivered to the government. This developer will conduct unit test and performance testing of the software, participate in the validation/acceptance phase of the product cycle to ensure necessary fine-tuning to finalize the product. Candidate should possess 5 or more years experience developing large-scale custom client-server applications using Visual Basic, UNIX and Oracle. The position requires someone who can quickly grasp and apply new technology and mentor team members. This project is highly visible within the organization and has high risk and compliance.
