Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the regular SQL Server 6.5
and the Developer Edition that ships with the Enterprise editions of VB and
Visual Studio? I can't find any direct mention of the Developer Edition in
MS documentation. Also, I was hoping to be able to upgrade an installation
of the Developer Edition with the regular edition but that does not seem to
be possible. Does anyone know how to do so short of uninstalling one and
reinstalling with the other.

From my memory:

Developers edition allows you to code & test applications. Was shipped as
part of Visual Studio Enterprise Edition.

Rules are limited to single user. Must not be used for production
[delivered] system.
