Can you forecast index sizes on newly created tables, how much space
will the occupy ?
Can anyone give me the "How To' on this please.

Check out 'Estimating the Size of a Database' in the SQL Server 7 Books
Online. This provides the calculations to estimate space requirements for a
table and associated indexes, given an estimated row count. Actual space
usage may vary due to a number for factors, such as page splits.
