If I were to monitor blocking locks what would I find out?

A blocking lock is one that is stopping another user from accessing the same
page or table (depending on lock).

It tells you who is doing the blocking and not who is blocked.

I should have been more specific:
I need to know what "blocking locks" have to do w/ one of the following:
The transaction log
The checkpoint process
The temp DB
