Just wondering whats the fastest network protocol to use for SQL 7.0?

Hi Ben,
from that what I remember from 'Inside SQL Server...' authors pinpointed
TCP/IP as the fastest way of connecting to SQL Server (I am talking
about pure TCP/IP net library - not about multi-protocol library
utilizing TCP/IP...)

It is now generally agreed that one should choose the network protocol based
on environmental requirements... (what does your company like to use, what
are the clients already using, do you need encryption, do you need trusted
connections, etc) rather that for performance becuase there is very little
difference, although tcp/ip gets the nod..

TCP/IP it is then! It's really THE prefered protocol in our office.
