Hi there,
Is it possible to buy SQL Server 7 Desktop Edition separately?
Has Microsoft got any plan to release SQL server 7 Developer Edition,
just like SQL Server 6.5 Developer Edition?

The answer is no:

We must buy the CD-ROM having SQL Server 7.0 NT Server, which contains the
desktop edition.

(The 120-day evaluation CD-ROM has the desktop version.)
