I looked up error 416 in sysmessages: "Create of work table failed
because the row size would be %d. This exceeds the maximum allowable size
of a row in a table, %ld."
A temp table row may not exceed 1962 bytes, just like a regular table. If
you weren't creating a temp table explicitly with create table, some
other operation may have tried to create one: an order by does this
sometimes, a group by clause always. Try selecting less columns in your
query, or if the query has an order by, indexing the ordered column(s).
