Does anyone know of any rules of thumb or technical benchmarks as to
when you should discountinue using MS Access as your back-end Web
database and upgrade to SQL server? Number of hits on the Web site?
Size of the Access DB? Other performance benchmarks?

thanks!!

Maybe things have improved with Access 2002, but in prior versions, I'd say if your database is
bigger than 250Mb, or has more than 10 concurrent users, you should use SQL Server. Access is a
LAN-based database, and the file contention/locking is just too simplistic for more than 10
concurrent users.
