Hello,

For apparently no reason, our DTC service failed on our clustered
failover SQL Server, and then it could not be started. Under
"Services" this could not be started either, and returns Error 1067. I
have a fairly long stored procedure which it failed at, which was the
first instance of a linked server query, so I don't think it was the
stored procedure, plus it had been working for days and all of sudden
failed. If anyone has experienced this or has any ideas on this it
would be greatly appreciated. I already went to the MSKB and found an
article on recovering from a DTC error, plus MS recommends that the
DTC service be installed outside of any clustered servers, yet on the
same server. In any case, it seems the only thing that worked for us
was to reboot, but I'm afraid of having to reboot again if this
happens because we have a lot mission critical applications runnning
on this server.

Thanks in advance,
