SQL Server Error "Missing end comment mark"

Hi,

Is there anyone encountered this error before & how it is being resolved?

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Missing end comment mark '*/'

The error pops-up when I was running a DTS Import/Export from a SQL server
(source) to another SQL server (destination) residing on a different
machine. I'm copying all tables, views, & stored procedures of a database.

So the package does not include any code you have written yourself?

One possibility is that network problems causes some text to be dropped
on the wire, leading to all sorts of disasters. If this is the case, I
expect that you get different errors each time.

Yet another possibiliy is that a bug in DTS causes incorrect code to be
generated.

It can also be the case that an object is incorrectly scripted. This is
maybe the most likely reason if the error, if it occurs consistently.

In any case, I think you need to narrow down where this error occurs
to be able to address it.

...and, of course, if you have your SQL code under version control there
is no reason to rely on scripting at all.
