Hi,

Is that possible so a use can right-click and select copy, paste,
hyperlink,...?

Thanks,

Set the ShortcutMenu to Yes in the design view Other properties of the form.

There is only Shortcut Menubar which has nothing listed. It is a
dropdown.

Thanks,

Open the form in Design View to find the property. The Property Sheet combo will say Form if you are looking at the Form properties. It should be two properties above Shortcut Menu Bar.

I see it now. But it does not work in a compiled/accde version.

I wonder why.

When I set the ShortcutMenu to Yes on a form, the right-click menu worked, even when I saved the database as an ACCDE.

Here is a simple form that worked for me. It may help you figure out what setting in your database is causing the problem.

How about that!

I first got a warning that it was created in a 64-bit version of
Access (ours is Access 2010 32-bit) but I opened up your ACCDB in
Access 2010 and saved it as an ACCDE.

It works!

And I noticed in the property sheet that for that textbox that there
is nothing entered for the shorcut menu bar.

Hmmm..... what am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Glad it worked! I changed the Shortcut Menubar and limited the form to single record, but I tried to leave everything else set to default properties. I thought if all else failed, you could compare property by property to figure out what was keeping it from working on your form.

But it is not working for me. I will try again tomorrow.

Thanks.

Your post is about an ACCDE. You said ACCDB to samxj. I am confused. Isn't a DE encrypted and compiled? Can a DE be edited?

I posted the .accdb source and an .accde compiled with Access 2010 64 bit. His version of Access 2010 was 32 bit which wouldn't run the .accde, but would run the .accdb. He then compiled a 32 bit .accde on his PC.

There isn't a Yes option for that. The dropdown box does not contain
anything.
