Hi,

I want to be able to rotate images for form backgrounds, if possible
(Access 2010).

It doesn't seem possible to set a background image for tabs, which
stinks but I'd like to do this on forms without the tab control taking
up most of the screen

Any ideas?

Thanks!

See if this is of any benefit. http://access.bukrek.net/

I don't see any image rotator properties, but I might be able to add
it to my other two MS Access applications!

Thanks Patrick!

I came across this thread. It appears to be able to rotate images. He provides examples further down. But I may not know what you are attempting to accomplish

I think the potential client has a big ego and would like to see his
logo and pictures he has taken around the world as a background image
on forms (most likely faded/washed out to not be very distracting).

Patrick!

I finally see why you are confused as to what I want to do! Doh!

I want to randomly *change* the background images on forms (and
perhaps reports) so the client can see his logo or other pictures.

Sorry for the confusion!

This is where I got the term "rotator" from as I use it in my web
sites:

My wife just told me she would have taken the word rotater literally
like you did! My bad!

Not sure I have it right. I added an Image control to a form and selected a picture, In the property sheet in the Format tab I have PictureType set to Linked and the Picture set to the file path of the picture. I don't have the picturetype set to Embedded, Now all I'd have to do is set the Picture property to another filename.

Is there some compelling reason that you need to rotate the picture at
runtime... that would seem a bit strange with the circumstances you
describe. Otherwise, modify the picture with your favorite graphics
software, save it, and specify the already-rotated-at-design-time picture as
the form's picture

I dunno Larry. I thought the potential client would be impressed if
they could see their logo or photos of all the places they send people
too.

Probably would be too distracting any way. I like clean data entry
forms myself.

Hi Patrick,

So I would have to write some code to set the picture property to
change when the form is opened or when it is running? I don't know
how to do that!

Thanks for the tips about setting the picture type to linked, etc...
I've never done that before.
