In Access 97, I'm trying to do a very simple thing - copy the structure only
(and not data) of an existing table and paste as a different table. I've
done this before with no problem. Today, for some odd reason, I'm getting
the data and structure copied. I'm following the instructions, I swear.
Thank you to anyone who can shed light on what's going on.

Are you copying to a different database or the same database? If you are
trying to copy from a different database then use the import wizard and
make sure the structure only/structure and data is checked or unchecked
whichever it may be. If I was going to copy a table from the existing
database into the same database I would just right click and copy then
click edit paste from the menu bar. It will prompt for a new name. Then I
would just delete the data and change the field names as applicable. I
believe that the major benefit of databases is the elimination of redundant
information. If you are trying to get the same data into another database
I would utilize the link tables method/wizard.

Select the structure only while copying. By default, the option is set
to structure and data.

Even for tables in the same database, you can import only the
structure .
