Once again, we should thank Karl Schendel for organizing a superb dinner
at CA-World. We did not discuss squirrels and pigeons at my table,
although I do recall (fuzzily) a description of the waiters/waitresses as
'servelets'.

My only gripe was that it was _really_ expensive this year.

But a superb dinner nevertheless.

Thanks, Karl.

I have been referring to it as "the shearing of the sheep". I was planning
on changing venues next year anyway. That's now definite.

It was a good dinner, though. Thanks to all who came.

No squirrels or pigeons, Roger, but you did entertain us with some
stories about cows. In fact I have a good picture of you as you
were in the middle of one of your stories.

Hmmm...photo...NAIUA web page....perhaps its time to find out where
the sys admins keep that scanner! :-)

Yes, Karl, thanks for organizing and running another excellent
dinner! As always, it was a highlight of the week!

I too wish to express my sincere thanks to Karl for organizing such a surperb event
again this year. His dedication to a good time is to be commended. It was expensive
but the company made it worth all we had to shell out.

Thanks again Karl and let's have a fine time again next year!

Last year, my wife and I both attended the dinner -- costing $120.00 for both of
us. My chief of staff put her foot down and so this year it was out of the
question. $80 might have been better, but still too rich for my blood.

Karl has taken this upon himself from Mike Leo two years ago and I want to
commend him for handling the logistics. We would be delighted to attend next
ear if the cost is more reasonable (and the drinks are split out). One never
knows, at the rate I'm making friends in this newsgroup -- I might be the main
course (there'd be plenty for all!!).

Keep up the good work Karl.

The drinks were split out this year, which was good for me as I am
NEVER NEVER NEVER consuming alcohol in New Orleas as long as I live.
Oh my back hurts. Especially after they removed the kidney.

Thanks Karl! You effort is appreciated.
