That’s odd. I just ordered it recently from Amazon US and  received my copy a couple of weeks ago.

Perhaps you can order it from the publisher. There’s a link at http://www.r20.nl/boeken.htm.

Good luck,

Alan

Thanks Guys.

I just found it on lulu.com, but my internet connection dropped during the checkout process and now my order is in limbo...

I'll try Ingres directly.

Thanks.

Amazon's business-to-business systems are rather "fluid"; a friend of
mine has to deal with them and regularly gets surprised by abrupt
changes in data formats and protocols. My first guess is that it's a
snafu.

I don't think Rick monitors this newsgroup/mailing-list so I've
asked him if he knows anything about it. I'll report his reply (if he
doesn't reply here himself).

Rick has replied. It is news to him that amazon.co.uk is not selling
it, but he does know that there is some sort of problem with payments to
the publisher by Amazon. He doesn't say if it is a technical or
commercial problem.

He does say that he thinks it is available from amazon.com still. And
of course one can always order the book from lulu.com direct
(http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/the-sql-guide-to-ingres/5408694).

Hi,
If anyone should indeed be interested: I've looked after DbLinq Ingres
support up until 1 year ago. Since then the whole project has
undergone a heavy refactoring by the main developers which left the
Ingres module somewhat crippled.
There will be a new release of DbLinq towards the end of the year and
I'll do my best to get the Ingres support in a decent shape again for
that.

Thomas

P.S. This is not an official Ingres project an in no way supported.
