Fellow Informix'ers,

I have this strange problem in which tbtape -s and tbcheck -cI
both dump core. I have run other checks on the DB and they seem to return
fine. Our application can access and update the data just fine, but
backups will not work.

I copied the tables on which tbcheck -cI bombs, and recreated the
bad indexes, but tbcheck still dumps. I tried dbexport, but that does
not complete either. Are there aby workarounds that will give me a
reliable backup? We are very nervous at this point, for the lack of a
backup.

Any and all responses on thie matter greatly appreciated.

Thanx,

Raj.

Probably not your problem, but I found a similar thing when I ran under
tcsh, and had 'limit descriptors 64' (the default in tcsh) -- it bombed
on the 65th table. Making it unlimited cured the problem.
