!I'm looking for a tool (report generator) for preparing reports including
!data from C and C++ programs (those programs get data from databases, for
!ex. - Informix).
!
! Requirements are:
! - Report data retrieval logic is separated from data presentation.
! - Tool must contain visual designer/viewer.
! - Resulting reports may include tables, plots, graphs etc.
! - Resulting report must be produced in raw text, PS and probably HTML formats
! - Platforms: Solaris 2.x and other UNIX's
! - Result report viewing program code will be linked to, or compiled with other
! C++ code. Alternately there may be pre-existing viewer executable which
! needs to be able to produce reports without any "superfluous" dialogue like
! "File/Open...". (I need an embeddable component)
! - This embeddable component should have rich program interface
! (e.g. report generation may be triggered by program, not by user)
!

!I don't read here or have very easy access.

I have not enough time to analyse this packages, but dbPower looks like
the thing we need.
This is not a final decision.
Many thanks to all those who have sent me information.
