I have a customer running IDS 7.31.UD2XA on Solaris 8 with Veritas
Netbackup 4.5 and seeing an onbar error 3 in the BAR_ACT_LOG when
running a backup:
2003-03-25 15:48:29 6798 6796 /informix/PS1/bin/onbar_d -b -w -L 1

2003-03-25 16:03:58 6798 6796 /informix/PS1/bin/onbar_d: process
exit 3 (0x03)
BAR_DEBUG_LOG shows an error 138 before the error 3:
2003-03-25 16:03:51 6798 6796 do_xbsa_error: return 138 (0x8a)
2003-03-25 16:03:51 6798 6796 barSendData: return 3 (0x03)
0x8a (138) BAR_SM_ERROR
This is a generic storage manager error return code, which usually
indicates an XBSA problem related to the storage manager. Check the
BAR_ACT_LOG for XBSA error messages and consult your storage manager
manual.
When they run onbar dbspace backups one-at-a-time, allowing each to
finish before the next, they see the following returned to the command
line:
+ onbar -b rootdbs physdbs logdbs
+ onbar -b psapdocu
+ onbar -b psapsource
+ onbar -b psapuser1
+ onbar -b psapbtab
8588 File Size Limit Exceeded
+ onbar -b psapclu
9740 File Size Limit Exceeded
+ onbar -b psapstab
9747 File Size Limit Exceeded
+ onbar -b psapddic
9751 File Size Limit Exceeded
+ onbar -b psapload
9755 File Size Limit Exceeded
+ onbar -b psapprot
9759 File Size Limit Exceeded
+ onbar -b psappool
9763 File Size Limit Exceeded
+ onbar -b psapel45b
9768 File Size Limit Exceeded
+ onbar -b psapes45b
9773 File Size Limit Exceeded
I do not know if they are backing-up to disk or tape (hopefully I
learn this by tomorrow). Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
