DB2 v3.1 and autocommit on/off

It seems impossible to send an autocommit (on or off) to a DB2 v3.1
database via an ODBC client. Can someone explain/confirm ?

Driver Neon (client) / OS390 (serveur) I do not have the exact version of
both platform
