DB2 license confusion

Hi,
Something happened on our standby HADR, which initiated a DB2 install
(msiinstaller). I have no idea how it started this but everytime it
happended i just kill the installer.
It didnt affect HADR, so i just left until the weekend when i received
call that HADR was in a "Disconnected" state.

When i looked the Standby DB was removed from the directory (db2 list
db directory). I had to add it back then started HADR which made
everything hunky dory.

When i looked at the event logs, it said:
"ADM12026W The DB2 server has detected that a valid license for this
product
has not been registered."

I looked at the license and found 0000001.lic in the install license
directory and was the license i installed from fb2v9.1 fp4, which in
fact was a try and buy version (90 days) which is why my DB was lost i
think.

I added the base version license, which now says:

Product name: "DB2 Enterprise Server Edition"
License type: "License not registered"
Expiry date: "License not registered"
Product identifier: "db2ese"
Version information: "9.1"
Annotation: "-1;(_b)"

I read on this forum that this is okay, but i would like to to say
permanent licensetype.
How do i achieve this or is this normal.

Also when upgrading fixpacks, it seems like its not required to
install the license thats included in the fixpacks since they are all
(looking at fp2-4) try and buy licenses. Please confirm this to be the
case.

One more thing, in the license directory are the list of the licenses
i tried to add. 0000001.lic - 00000012.lic.
Which ones can i delete.

I can tell you that all fixpaks do not have permanent licenses. So in
order to have a permanent license, you must either install the base
product at the desired version/release level and install the fixpak on
top of that, or you must install the fixpak,go back to your base product
image that you purchased, extract the permanent license file, and
install it using db2licm.
