Hello,

Everyone, I have a developer who's getting the following error message
when trying to run a COBOL program, since upgrading to v.7. I've
dropped and recreated the database reloading the data, but to no
avail. The developer refuses to add display to the program. Maybe one
day in the near future. Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

In article <fda86b90.02050...@posting.google.com>,

Why not just ask him to look up Reason Code 00C90101 in Messages and
Codes, QuickRef or whatever?

Displays should not be required for this sort of problem.

There can be a number of reasons why you're getting a 00C90101, from
serious directory and catalog dammage, to pointing to the wrong load
library. Can you check wether or not your pointing to the correct
loadlib ? Make sure you're not using your V5 or V6 loadlib in your
JCL.

another thing, which is easy to check cfr. message and codes V7 :

If this abend occurred while
processing data in one or more pages, message
DSNI014I is issued to identify each page involved. In
general, the data in these pages is fine. However, if
problems are reported that repeatedly involve the same
pages or if the same pages are reported by other
abends, you may want to analyze the set of pages
specified.
Run the CHECK utility to determine the extent of index
inconsistency if:
v The page type indicated in message DSNI014I is
index.
