InfoModelers Partners with IBM to Support the New
DB/2 Universal Database

Award-winning InfoModeler 3.0, the first data modeling tool for
Universal databases, announces support for IBM's new DB/2 driver

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., (May 13, 1997) - At DB/EXPO this week,
InfoModelers, Inc., a leading developer of state-of-the-art visual
design tools for database developers and business users, announces plans
to partner with IBM to support the new DB/2 Universal Database.
InfoModelers' newest product, InfoModeler 3.0, is the only data modeling
tool that allows developers to use both conceptual and logical modeling
approaches while designing database models and re-engineering existing
schema.

"We are very excited to partner with IBM. As the first data modeling
company to support Universal databases, InfoModelers is committed to
providing users with the tools necessary to successfully implement the
next generation of databases," states Tom Van Horn, President and CEO of
InfoModelers.

InfoModelers is also the first to offer database tools that incorporate
both Object Role Modeling (ORM) and Entity Relationship modeling (ER).
ORM uses English sentences to express relationships between objects and
simplifies modeling by allowing database designers and business users to
communicate simply and directly. InfoModeler 3.0 features an enhanced
user interface and performs build and migrate operations up to ten times
faster than InfoModeler 2.0. The latest version also provides native
support for all leading client/server and desktop databases as well as
SQL3 constructs and extended relational types.
