Where can I get a list of the DB2 backup/restore errors, like the
above? Poking around we may have found the problem, but a better idea
of what these errors are would assist. Any response (including flames,
but not wishing for them) appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This means that the Veritas Netbackup library that you're using is
returning error code 515.
You can look up this error in the Netbackup manuals (or contact
Veritas).

Ian,
Thanks for your response.
Well, . . . I searched through all the NetBackup 4.5 and 5.0 manuals
as pdf files, searching for "515" and only found page numbers and DLT
tape types. Veritas support also is stumped. We solved the problem by
matching the file directory structure on the target system to match
the source system, which really isn't a NetBackup area of control.
Any other thoughts? Again, thanks.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear about which manual, but in the "NetBackup
5.1 for DB2 System Administrator's Guide", and it documents (on page 139):
515
Message: NetBackup Get Image Failed
Cause: NetBackup encountered errors when attempting to access
a backup image.
I'm not a NetBackup expert, so I can't comment on what exactly this
means, but I would assume that this would clue someone in on what is
causing the problem.
You are correct and my apologies for doubting you. I found the same
information in the 4.5 NBU for DB2 guide. I should've looked further
into the documentation. Thanks for your help.
