Hey guys,

I can successfully create a wrapper for SQL Server in DB2 11.1.1 AESE on Linux but not in DB2 9.7 fp10 AESE on Windows 2010:

CREATE WRAPPER MSSQLODBC3

The specified library "db2mssql3.dll" could not be loaded.. SQLCODE=-10013, SQLSTATE=42724

I couldn't find the mentioned library on the <DB2PATH>\bin as stated in Knoweledge center.

Does anyone know if that missing library in 9.7 was only available with InfoSphere Federation Server product?

Luiz, I have a document that describes the whole process when we did some tests last year. (but it's in spanish). If you want I can send it to you if it may help.

See the line labelled Homogenous Federation at:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEPGG_9.7.0/com.ibm.db2.luw.licensing.doc/doc/r0053238.html

It appears that with 9.7 AESE you can federate to DB2, Informix and Oracle. I think you are right that with 9.7 you needed the InfoSphere re-branded add-on for other data sources.

yes, I confirm that. You need Infosphere Federation Server to federate against oracle or sql server.
