Does someone have any experience on how performance is affected after
migrating a DL/1 database to DB/2?

In our project we will do a 1:1-migration of a DL/1 (v. 5) database to DB/2
(v. 5.1). If someone have done a similar job I would appreciate very much if
you could share your experiences. But I will also be just as happy to
receive any other replies on similar jobs.

We done some migrations, but I don't have any numbers. They are
different DBMSes, so it is hard to tell the apple from the orange. IMS detects
deadlocks quickly, DB2 waits for the ZPARM value. We have run into
nothing which caused us to revert back to DL/1. How are you doing the 1-1
migrations? Are you using DL2 (Circle Software www.circle-group.com)?

We have done some DL1 to DB2 migration using the
assistance provided by DL2. We converted our core
banking database, thus it is accessed nearly from
every transaction that gets into our system, we
don't have any performance problems.
