We're encountering problems with authentication our NT DB2 Server.
The DB server is running as an additional server in a NT domain, not on
a PDC nor on a BDC.
We have created a local group db2sysad on th DB server. The SYSADM_GROUP
value in the DBM configuration points to this local group.
We've also set the DB2 environment variable DB2_GRP_LOOKUP to local.
We've included a user NTDOMAIN\User1 of the same domain where the DB
server resides in this local group.
And so far the user NTDOMAIN\User1 can still not administer remotely the
DB server with the control center. It seems that the DB server does not
authenticate NTDOMAIN\User1 as a SYSADM.

What's wrong with that ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your problem is isolated to the control center it is likely because you
have not configured it to point to the DAS, do as follows (in the control
center):

right click on the server system
select change
fill in the values for:
remote instance : <probably DB2DAS00>
Host Name: <same as system name>

As much as I love UDB, this is a prime example of where the ease of use
doesn't
come close to MS SQL 7.0.
