I'm not able to start my copy of DB2 9.5. I'm running Windows XP SP3 and
everything else is working just fine. When I try to start the DB2COPY1
service, I get SQLCode -1022 in the Windows Services screen; the Event
Viewer states error 4294966274 (0xFFFFFC02). I can't find anything about
the latter two numbers anywhere in the Info Center but -1022 is
described as insufficient memory. I've closed all but one of my biggest
processes in Task Manager but I still get the -1022. Task Manager says
I've got just over 1 GB of Available Memory. Shouldn't that be enough to
launch DB2?

I've got 2 GB of memory on this machine and I've never had a problem
with launching DB2 before. I haven't launched DB2 in several months but
it worked fine the last time I used it.

Any guidance on how to resolve this quickly and inexpensively would be
greatly appreciated.

You probably have tried this... but would you consider doing a rollback on your OS (previous save point) when db2 was running.

Typically we would see an error like this if there was a bad install.
