SHARE YOUR DB2 EXPERIENCES

Help shape the progress of the relational technology field by sharing
your unique DB2 experiences and knowledge at IDUG's 8th Annual North
American Conference, June 2-6, 1996 at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in
Dallas, Texas USA. This conference offers the international community
of DB2 users an unmatched opportunity to share information and exchange
ideas.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BE A SPEAKER?

To present at the IDUG conference, select a topic with which you are
familiar or would like to research. Abstract submissions are due no
later than September 15, 1995.
PRESENTATION FORMATS

There are four possible lengths for
your presentation: 25, 70, 90 or 120 minutes.

YOU MIGHT BE A WINNER!

IDUG has several awards for speaker participants. The winners of the
"Best Presentation by a User" will be sent, at IDUG's expense, to
present their paper at either the IDUG 5th Annual European Conference,
in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, or the IDUG 2nd Annual Asia-Pacific
Conference in Sydney, Australia.
PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS

The only requirement is that your presentation feature at least one
member of the DB2 Product Family. Presentations also must comply with
THE IDUG MISSION STATEMENT:

*IDUG is an independent, not-for-profit, user-run organization whose *
*mission is to support and strengthen the information systems community*
*by providing the highest quality education and services designed to *
*promote the effective utilization of the DB2 family of products. *

Notice: Presentations promoting products or services are not accepted.
Separate Vendor-Sponsored Presentations are available for this purpose
through IDUG Headquarters:

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

You may submit up to four different presentations, although only one
will be accepted from a single speaker. It is very important that you
provide ALL of the information requested below when submitting your
presentation(s) for review.
1. SPEAKER INFORMATION: include you name, professional title,
organization name, business address, city, state or province,
country, ZIP or postal code, telephone and FAX numbers (include city
and country codes if outside the United States) and E-mail address.
Items 2-6 should be submitted with EACH presentation. Please limit
this information to no more than two pages for all information in
items 3-10 combined.
2. PRESENTATION TITLE in 50 characters or less.
Titles should be clear and concise.
3. PRESENTATION LENGTH
Indicate whether this is a 25-,70-,90-,or 120-minute presentation.
4. PRESENTATION ABSTRACT
Provide a 100-word abstract of your presentation. This section is
critical to the selection process, so be as concise as possible.

5. PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Provide a high-level, five-point outline of the main topics covered
in the presentation. Together with the abstract, this will determine
whether or not your paper is selected. (See example below)
6. PRESENTATION HISTORY
Indicate whether you've given this presentation before. If yes, tell
us where and if this version contains new and/or updated information.
