Hi,

I have some trouble with indexes on a DB2 7.2 on Linux. Aprox. once a week I
get errors like the following

2002-05-28-13.53.26.230226 Instance:db2inst1 Node:000
PID:7718(db2agent (FEGIME)) Appid:*LOCAL.db2inst1.020528040517
index_manager sqlischd Probe:98 Database:XXXXX
DIA3841C The index key could not be found, the value was "".

ZRC=0xFFFFF92C

or

2002-04-10-15.18.18.759895 Instance:db2inst1 Node:000
PID:13915(db2agent (FEGIME)) Appid:*LOCAL.db2inst1.020410043947
index_manager sqliaddk Probe:99 Database:XXXXXX
DIA3700C A bad page was encountered.

ZRC=0xFFFFE901

always related to indexes that are under heavy use ( lots of changes to the
tables ).

Additionaly db2dart shows corrupt indizes.

Is it a known problem with DB2 or could there be anything we do wrong.

Hi Andreas,

one question. Do you use the standard page size of 4k?
We have had some problems with bigger page sizes in release V6.1.

Regards
Ralph

I don't know the apar number, but there was a known problem; but I thought that
that fix was out for sometime (e.g., fixpack 3). Are you at the latest fixpak?
If you are, and still seeing it, it is probably best to contact service. They
will have the latest on known problems, etc.

Which fixpak are you on - 3, 4, 5 or 6?
