DB2 Z/OS RACF SUBGROUP TABLE AUTHORIZATIONS

Hello Everyone!

I am a DB2 Z/OS neophyte. I was under the impression that if I have RACF group A granted select authority to table T and RACF GROUP B is a subgroup of group A then user John that is a member of group B would have select authority to table T. However, this does not appear to be working in this manner. Any clue as to why B does not have access?

I can't find a similar thread on this one and the RACF & DB2 IBM documentation does not cover subgroups in detail.

DB2 9.1
Z/OS 1.13

No, there is no inheritance of access rights.

Service status almost 2 year ago:
