Hi,
I had some trouble when upgrading the cache size of the Netware
Server, my server had 256 Megs of RAM (cache allocation = 120000) and
when upgraded to 512 megs of RAM and changed cache allocation to
250000, the autoexec.ncf freeze loading Btrieve Record Manager,(I
waited more than 20 minutes and then reboot!), usually with the
previous configuration made a pause of about 120 seconds or so.

Pentium III 866 Mhz
Netware 3.12 . patched to 312ptd
Pervasive SQL Version 7.0 SP5/SP6 (tried both)
SPX protocol

Any Idea?

TIA

Gustavo,

Back down the MKDE cache size a little and try to load again.
I would try a cache size of 204800. I've seen some problems with large cache
sizes that are not a even power of 2.
