With a strong belief that open systems will bring about organized, prudent and efficient operating systems with in the computer industry, it is my pleasure to introduce this initiative.
The Michigan Technology Development Consortium:
This organizati
on will seek to:
a) Develope End-User understanding of the software that is available to them and how that software can be best used by them to enhance their productivity.
b) To maintain an ongoing organization that focus on integrating Public Policy, Social/Economic and Political dynamics into the high tech society of the next century. And, to seek ways to best use and develope the available technology to mankind's benefit.
c) To work cooperatively with corporations and other entities in developing software/hardware that meets the needs of end-users in an integrative approach.
d) Interested parties who seek to become full membered partners in this consortium should have a strong background in Object Oriented Programming languages, art/architectural design, ergonomics, and/or a strong sense of integrated approach to designing end products that are
both useful and pleasing to the end-users of technology; namely computers, home appliances, workplace appliances and educational devices.
e) Interested parties should not feel themselves limited to or restricted to any one area of development, but rather, they should feel compelled to provide input into how the design structure of such end-user apparatuses should look, feel and operate.
