Applications Engineer(s), West Coast, Austin Texas
Department: Applications Engineering
Job Duties: Perform field applications engineering in a pre and post
sales role, which includes working with marketing to help evolve next
generation Chrysalis products. identify problems, develop solutions
and solve critical customer problems. Manage multiple customers and
customer sites plus participate in development/support team
activities. Successful candidate(s) will play a critical role in
introducing the complex chip design community to a new verification
technology: "formal verification", leveraging Symbolic techniques.
Pre-sales responsibilities include enthusiastically taking on a
consultative role educating new customers on the technology,
supporting in-depth technical evaluations and benchmarks, performing
demos & presentations. Post-sales duties include ensuring that
customers are succesful in taking full advantage of this new
technology in their design environments. This role also calls for
identifying new products, applications, improvements, and business
opportunities.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or
related field required, advanced degrees a definite plus. Three to
five years designing complex integrated circuits (VHDL and/or Verilog
using Synopsys synthesis) required, in some cases down to the
transistor level (for Austin). Two plus years of field applications
engineer experience preferred, as is experience with scripting &
programming languages (Perl, AWK, C, etc.)

(Verilog/VHDL) Compiler Engineers
Department: Engineering
Job Duties: As team member contribute to product design, definition,
needs assessment, requirements analysis, enhancement and debugging.
Projects might include work on a design translator, improving the
symbol mapping algorithm, code optimization, I/O, etc. Work with
marketing to determine features for next generation products.
Job Requirements: This position will reqire 3 plus years of software
engineering experience in a UNIX, C environment, and familiarity with
Verilog and/or VHDL. This is a generalist position requiring design
and debug work. Desired experience and knowledge of hardware,
particularly IC's is a plus; as is experience with RTL synthesis, and
formal methods.

Job Duties: Algorithm development, software development for next
generation products.
Job Requirements: Advanced degree in Math or Physics, knowledge of
UNIX & C, as well as experience in algorithm
development/implementation for a modelling/simulation application.
Advantageous experience would include familiarity with EDA tools,
VERILOG, VHDL, and hardware/semiconductor development.
