I need to synthesize a 50K ASIC in 0.6u technology.

Anybody out there who has used this tool, can you
share your experience?

Thank you.

The name of the tool is Synplify and it is produced by Synplicity.

It is an excellent tool (for my money, the best on the market) for
FPGAs. However, it does not support ASIC libraries. Synopsys is the
market leader for the ASIC world.

Actually, there are some others out there that can also help besides
Synopsys.

Exemplar Logic recently brought their new tool in market
"Leonardo". You can more information at

http://www.exemplar.com/leonardo.html

It comes in all flavours. Windows 95 / NT, Sun, HP, and
PC Linux. It has very intuitive GUI. I have used it and
found worth of my money. It is geared towards 0.6 micron
designs. (No sub sub-deep micron abilities).
