Part count in an assembly?

How can I get a count of the total number of parts in my assembly,
including sub-assemblies? The only way I know is to create a drawing,
generate a bom with "parts only", and then total them, either via
excel or manually. Is there a better way?

Have you tried using the TOOLS...ASSEMBLY STATISTICS options?
