serial spaceball & SW2008

Forgive if this has already been asked and answered...I upgraded my SW2007
to 2008 yesterday and when I run it I get an error message about the
Spaceball driver not loading. I checked on the 3dconnexion website and I
have the current driver for the 4000 FLX installed. Are the drivers for
serial spaceballs not being updated now? If so is there another option to
hitting my boss up for new spaceballs when the ones we have are working
great?

because of "stability" issues that prevents the 2.8.2 addin from now
working. What you will need to do is download the latest USB version
which is 3.5.6. If you already have 2.8.2 installed then when you
install 3.5.6 ONLY install the Solidworks addin. DO NOT INSTALL the main
drivers. If you go to the 3Dconnexion forum, it gives you some
additional information as well.
