can your CADCAM system get the basics right?
SolidCAM doesn't need and expensive add-in like Mastercam does. To get
drilling right in Mastercam you have to use a very expensive add-in
like Pro Drill:

Think that an expensive add-in just to do drilling right is a fucking
joke and that this is basic functionality that should be included in
all CADCAM systems?

first off, basics? = drill(type)/ size vs material SFPM / SMM?
then feed / rev - relative to dia.
then peck amount - relative to dia.
then cycle select - reg. peck /chip break ect.
Thats fairly basic, since the first thing machinists learn to do is
drill holes, & also hand sharpen the dull drills.
Are your saying Solidscam will do all that for you if you just say:
1/8hss drill, Titanium 6AL4v , if necessary, depending on system:the
depth?
Dont know what you looking for? but thats what I'm looking for.
Minimal input=maximum tried & true results= press cycle start & go to
lunch.
Of course with boss standing right behind you, after pressing cycle
start, turn & walk away quickly(before machine has time to rapid to
clearance plane) watch him getting freaked out. LMAO- being really a
smart ass, leave the doors open before walking away.
most cam systems run by mouse?
window select(mask by dia,) = done?

Jon, the "expensive add-in" is called a brain. Yours obviously doesn't
work very well, or you wouldn't have embarrassed yourself for weeks on
end complaining about mask on arc, only to find out that you were
doing it completely wrong, and that it worked just fine all along.
