PMFJI, but just to clarify this... Home Use is one of the many benefits
to Bentley SELECT. For more information regarding this, point your Web
browser to http://www.bentley.com/select/homeuse/. HTH

Then, why could I not have the Modeler J (or MS J) licensed for
home use? Having 'Selected' support for both, MS and Modeler, I was
given MSSE only. Am I missing something here or is this a long way
of saying NO. You can not have an equivalent/'same type' license
for home use.

I was given a home license for MsJ same as what I am using at work.

Now, that is a good question.

I am still waiting for MY hue, going on 4 weeks now. I just wonder if I'm
going to get the HUE of Triforma. As a fairly new user to Triforma (I guess
we all would be, no?), I really want to practice at home. I DO agree with
Solo's "rant" though.

Another licensing question: We have upgraded to MSJ at work, but only have
one license. We have little need for multiple seats (simultaneous) use, but
can we load it on more than one station? So far, we have not been able to.
What is the license pooling that I've read about, and would that apply to a
company with a network, but only 1 license? It would be nice if our other
A**D users could practice MSJ, so that in the absence of the ONLY MS op (me)
the project can go on. I was recently in a bike accident, out of work for
several weeks, lucky for the company we didn't have a MS project going at
the time.

Interesting, Damon, that has not been my experience, see my posting... I
cannot load MS/J on more than one machine. Perhaps since our machines are
networked, are yours?

I think, it is a simple contradiction. The info is:

1. Home use edition is the same that is commercially available.
2. Home use editions are typically provided some time after the
commercial products. Yes, TRY ONE YEAR AFTER!

Anyhow, is the Manufacturing Config. available now as HUE?

Last I heard Triforma would not be available on home use.

Not true.
TriForma is available in Home Use Edition.

Yes. But we have peer to peer. Not server based.
Also we are using Windows 95/98 & NT4 combinations
using Netbeui. Simple stuff.
Comoputer name does not have any effect to the license file.

FYI all,

If you are a current SELECT subscriber and have read the Home Use general
information described at http://www.bentley.com/select/homeuse/, there
should be no problem whatsoever in obtaining a Home Use Edition.

That should be pretty much all you need to do in order to take advantage of
it.

Keep in mind that we can't immediately fulfill partially completed requests
or requests that require some follow-up. We've been keeping an eye on the
newsgroups for those who have asked about Home Use (as we want to make sure
that this benefit is provided to those who are eligible), so if you have a
specific instance that we may not be aware of, please let us know about it
so it can be looked into.

Thanks
