Hi,

We use IRASC to load georeferenced images and manipulate data in
Microstation. The loading of IRASC has been taken care of in the
configuration file but we can't work out if there is an automatic way of
changing applications (i.e. from IRASC to Microstation).

At this stage we open the file which load IRASC then switch applications
and use a macro to complete the loading of several mdls. Is there a
method to remove the interactive switching between applications?

Thanks

Ian

Ian;
I suspicion that the loading of IRAS is being taken care of via a
configuration file/workspace. Crate another set of workspace files from
the iras one, and remove the references to the loading of IRAS. Then
create two desktop icons, with the shortcut target line starting up the
different workspaces.

For IRAS ....

C:\WIN32APP\ustation\ustation.exe
-wcc:\win32app\ustation\config\iras.cfg

And for one without IRAS ....

C:\WIN32APP\ustation\ustation.exe
-wcc:\win32app\ustation\config\default.cfg

Granted this is outside of Microstation. You could also look at some of
the mdl examples that do this.

Ian,

We use IRASB. I have never used or even seen IRASC, but maybe this will
help.

To avoid having to switch back & forth in IRASB, I edited a file named
irasb.cfg
Be aware that there may be a backup copy(s) of this file, but the one
that you want is probably
bentley/program/microstation/config/appl/irasb.cfg You might want to
make a backup copy, yourself, in case something goes wrong.

Open the file with a text editor, such as Wordpad. Find the line that
says:

IRASB_APP_LIST : yes

Change the yes to no. The next time you start IRAS, you should see the
change (provided that IRASC works like IRASB).

Don't know why Intergraph did that. Everybody hates it.

Hope this works for you. Let me know.
