Question: have you ever done this? If so, how?
CNG said they thought Microstation 95 would import EPS (Encapsulated
Postscript File) in Adobe format. Is this so??
Please answer ASAP.
Thanks,

David,
I looked at the options from my copy of MicroStation 95. If you want to import
as vector data you have the options of DXF, IGES and CGM. If you are importing the data
as an image file (not editable I think) you have options such as JPEG, TIFF, and GIF
(didn't list all options). EPS was not among the image import options on my machine.

I looked at doing something similar from Microstation 5.0.5.95 to Illustrator
4.0. The only thing I could find was to export from Microstation in DXF and
import the file into Illustrator. You can edit the elements, but the zinger is
that Illustrator automatically scales the imported drawing to 8.5 x 11" (:o.
This appears to be a difficult problem to handle. Illustrator will only read in
a few formats (illustrator, photoshop files) without scaling. All imported
formats are scaled to 8.5 x 11".
Good Luck,

Dave,
You may want to try a secondary conversion program to convert the eps
to a format that MicroStation will recognize. Hijack pro may solve the
problem. Or you may be able to use a program that can read dgn and eps
files, I don't know if Imagineer can read eps files but I know it can
read dgn files and you may be able to just cut and paste between the
two (however, you need a PC).
I'm sure that there are more than one way to skin this cat!

david,
The best way to get graphic files from illustrator or any application is
to use canvas as a translater application. canvas is the only application
that i know of that both imports and exports graphic and cad formats. You
can import a illustrator file into canvas and save it as a dxf or iges
file to be imported into microstation.
good luck
